6. The Infiltrator

Even though it was released a couple of years ago, The Infiltrator was an underrated film in 2016. The movie is based on a true story. Bryan Cranston plays a federal agent named Robert Mazur who goes undercover to try and take down Pablo Escobar’s infamous drug smuggling ring. I was impressed with the acting in this movie.

Along with Cranston, Diane Kruger, Benjamin Bratt, and John Leguizamo also star. It seems like the story of Escobar has been a hot topic in media lately with the Netflix series Narcos and countless documentaries, so this film offers a new perspective and it’s written well.

5. Logan Lucky

Personally, Logan Lucky is one of my favorite movies on this entire list. I think it was criminally underrated when it released in 2017. Steven Soderbergh directs the film. It’s a fantastic heist movie and will totally surprise you with how great the acting is and how much fun you’ll have watching it.

Channing Tatum and Adam Driver play a pair of brothers who believe they’ve been living with a curse their whole lives. They team up, along with their sister (played by Riley Keough) to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway. It’s a high-spirited and surprisingly smart film that will make you laugh and also keep you totally on edge.
