4. Who’s looking after the kids while Midge is on tour?

Back to the tour, let’s think about the logistics that Midge didn’t even consider. It’s all about the kids.

I know during The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 fans questioned about the kids not being around. That didn’t bother me. Places like the Catskills have things for the kids to do. But this isn’t the Catskills. The kids are at home.

While Midge is on tour, what’s she doing with the kids? Who is looking after them? It’s almost like she assumes her parents or Joel will look after them without even asking.

In a way, it could make her a bad mother but it makes her an extremely ambitious woman. Men wouldn’t have to think about all the logistics in this time period but women always have done and still do. Maybe the kids will be with Joel. After all, he’s not a terrible father and he’ll have his parents and his ex-in-laws to help out.

3. Will Sophie Lennon get the chance to grow as an actress?

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 finale delivered a twist. Sophie Lennon wanted to see Susie about her career. She wants someone who will fight for her and get her the jobs she wants. It was certainly a surprise.

Jane Lynch is returning for the third season. This means we’ll get to see something of this storyline develop. Whether Sophie and Midge will be able to be friends is one thing, but what about Sophie’s career?

I’d actually like to see her grow as an actress. I don’t like the character at all and think she’s vindictive, but she’s another ambitious woman. Women in this time period had to put themselves first and Sophie is definitely a woman of her time. I’d like to see her get some success out of the comedy lineup so she’s no longer vindictive towards Midge.

Something I’d also like to see is Susie put Sophie in her place. It’s time for Susie to make sure both her clients get along and stop trying to fight against each other.
