8. Will we see any development for Joel’s parents?

Joel’s parents tend to be there for the comic relief. That’s always been the case but sometimes even these characters need to grow. There isn’t going to be much time with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel only getting eight episodes for the third season, which is the same length as Season 1 and two less than Season 2, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get some sort of development.

At the end of the second season, Joel realized that he wanted to open a club. How are his parents going to take that news? This opens the chance for them to become more accepting of different choices. But will they be able to support their son.

By the way, will they keep the bank accounts they open? I guess they have to because of the bank loan Joel has been sourcing for them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up with more hidden money somewhere.

7. Will we get to see Abe and Rose see Midge on tour?

Abe and Rose weren’t happy about Midge’s career in comedy. The moment Abe found out Midge’s career choice was hilarious. It was actually the moment that got my husband into the whole series after me telling him for months that he should watch it! (Thank you, writers, for that moment).

Now everyone knows. We haven’t had the chance to see her parents watch Midge. Sure, they sort of watched her on TV but that was such a short stint. Midge going on tour gives them a chance to see more of an act, and not just a late-night, make-do act.

Will we get to see them in the audience? I’d love to see Rose accept her daughter considering she was the one that just left for Paris when going through her sort of mid-life crisis. Rose knows what it’s like to want to focus on your dreams, so I’d hope she would support Midge even if it is all unconventional.
