10. Will Susie tell Midge the truth?

Susie decided to become Sophie Lennon’s manager at the end of the second season. Okay, she didn’t decide. She was sort of railroaded into the decision. Sophie wasn’t going to take “no” for an answer.

This is Midge’s greatest enemy in the comedy business. It’s not going to be a good idea to have two competing comics with the same manager, especially not when one of those comics has tried to undermine and destroy the other on purpose (Midge didn’t quite realize the damage she was doing but Sophie certainly did).

Midge isn’t going to react well when she learns the truth. In a way, I don’t blame her. Yes, she wants Susie to grow as a manager but with her worst enemy? It’s no wonder Susie didn’t say anything in the end. Will we get to see that conversation early on in the third season?

9. Will Midge tell Ben it’s over?

It’s pretty clear that Midge has chosen against marrying Ben. It’s disappointing because he is the best guy for her. Ben proved that he was accepting of her quirky ways, supported her in her career, and was willing to take on two children from a previous marriage. For the time period, these are all major ticks in the right boxes.

But in the end, Midge wants to focus on her career. She’s ambitious and that often means doing things that will hurt other people. She said yes to the tour without even thinking of any of the logistics, including who would look after her own children. Is it really that surprising she forgot about Ben, too?

Well, now she needs to tell Ben that it’s over. Will she tell him to his face or over the phone while on the road? Will she be completely honest and say that on her last night, she turned to her ex-husband? Will we even get to see any of this or just be told it through passing?

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 delivered us the story through a “comedy” act to show what happened between Joel finding out Midge is a good comic and the two breaking up. Will we get something similar for this storyline?
