4. The Gifted
I said there’d be a show from April that makes it to this list. Out of all the TV shows canceled in 2019, I think The Gifted has been the most disappointing news for me. And it wasn’t wholly the show’s fault.
Putting the series on at 8 p.m. on a Tuesday was a huge mistake. This is one of the most competitive timeslots of the week, so it set up the show to fail. There wouldn’t be that problem on Amazon Prime Video.

A show like The Gifted would have the perfect home on Prime. It would fit in well with the sci-fi genre, which is steadily growing with shows like The Expanse and The Man in the High Castle.
Okay, there could be the issue of the series being Marvel and, therefore, connected to Disney, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dream of Amazon saving the day, right? It’s a pipe dream completely, but I really want to see more of this post-X-men world that was created — the human/mutant war has always been something that’s fascinated me and Season 2 only just got started with the Purifiers.
