5. The Fix
The Fix is one of those shows that arguably does work well as a limited series. And it could have done really well as that had it not decided to deliver that twisty ending leaving us wondering whether the right person went down for murder.
This was clearly the setup for the second season, showing that the showrunners wanted it. Unfortunately, the show just didn’t do well enough on ABC in terms of the live ratings. As ABC admitted during the Upfronts, there were too many new shows on the network to pay attention to and all of them suffered.
With the likes of Goliath and Bosch on Amazon Prime Video, The Fix would have an excellent home. We love our crime and legal dramas, right?
Plus, this is a show with a strong cast and plenty of potential. There’s a world open with the storyline of whether the right person went down for murder. It opens a lot of discussion about real-life court cases where innocent people have been sent to jail. Getting the person out isn’t as simple as saying “we made a mistake.”
