This STARZ Original only has two seasons but it’s certainly something to check out as a fan of The Man in the High Castle. While set in our world, it introduces the idea of parallel dimensions, which is the way The Man in the High Castle has gone with its video reels and ability to travel through dimensions.

In Counterpart, [character name] finds out that in the lower levels of the CIA there’s a doorway to another dimension. He meets his counterpart, and it turns out the two are the only people they can each trust. They need to uncover the conspiracy within their two worlds.

Of course, that one conspiracy adapts and grows considerable. When the two get stuck in their alternate worlds, they need to pretend to be each other to be able to survive. Can they find their way back to their own worlds?

It was a travesty that this show was canceled after two seasons. It’s intriguing and well developed. The characters are two-dimensional, drawing you into the story that the show has to offer. Just watch one episode and you will be hooked.
