5. Timeless

While it may only have two seasons, Timeless remains one of the greatest TV shows involving time travel. Unfortunately, the cost of the production led to that cancellation and nobody has saved it yet (and that’s extremely disappointing).

The show, created by Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan, is about three people who have absolutely nothing in common except one thing: they’ve been brought together to save all of time. A “time terrorist” has gone into the past in an attempt to stop an organization called Rittenhouse to get his wife and child back, but it means changing many major events in history.

Now, not only does the “Time Team,” as they’ve been nicknamed, need to figure out a way to stop this terrorist but they also need to prevent the timeline changing. One small change can have a huge knock-on effect in the future, removing people from the timeline that you wouldn’t even think initially possible.

Along the way, the three people have secrets exposed, learn more about themselves, and find love with each other. The question is whether their relationships can work out, while they go to different points in time to prevent historical events changing. You’ll get to go back to the birth of America, meet Abraham Lincoln, and see a young John F. Kennedy.
