6. Call the Midwife Season 8

Can you believe we’re onto eight seasons of Call the Midwife? We pick up with the Christmas special of the season, seeing Sisters Julienne and Winifred being called to the Mother House. Important decisions need to be made and it’s up to the sisters to make that decision.

Meanwhile. Trixie returns from Italy and the midwives have a difficult birth that they need to help with. As for the rest of the season, things are changing in Poplar and around the world. It’s now 1964, there’s birth control, a fight for female rights, and much more taking place.

Call the Midwife Season 8 is on DVD on May 21, 2019.

5. Fighting With My Family

The surprising comedy of the year, Fighting With My Family kicks off the top five. With an all-star cast that includes Nick Frost, Lena Headey, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, this is the movie for wrestling and non-wrestling fans alike.

Two siblings have only ever wanted to be wrestlers. They come from a wrestling family and it’s been encouraged from a young age. When they both get a chance to chase the dream, only one is able to go all the way. Can the other be happy and supportive?

Fighting With My Family is on DVD and Blu-ray on May 14.

4. Isn’t It Romantic

This was another surprisingly good comedy of the year. Released on February 13, it was the Valentine’s Day comedy that everyone needed to watch. With Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine, Priyanka Chopra, and Liam Hemsworth leading the all-star cast, this was bound to be nothing but spectacular.

It all starts when a woman, who has shunned everything romantic, is knocked out. In her dream state, everything becomes a romantic love story with a comedic twist. She finds herself in a romantic comedy of her own but can she make it through to the end?

Isn’t It Romantic is on DVD and Blu-ray on May 21, 2019.
