8. Why is Girl 249 different?

Out of all the girls in the facility, why was Girl 249 so different to the rest? Why was she the only one to question everything that was going on and why was she able to disobey orders.

What’s interesting is that the doctor never mentioned that he’d seen Girl 249 disobey orders. Was he aware that some of the girls could disobey orders? Maybe it was even a test for him — was he testing the resilience of some of the girls?

I’m sure Girl 249 will have this question so it will be something explored in Hanna Season 2. However, this question does lead us onto another.

7. Will Girl 242 start questioning everything?

Out of all the other girls in the facility, Girl 249 was able to push her disregard of orders onto Girl 242. While Girl 242 wanted her “sibling” to stop talking, she also showed some sense of worry and defiance.

In fact, when Girl 217 mentioned that Girl 249 had escaped, there was a look of shock from Girl 242. Maybe she realized that 217 was more than willing to turn others in and she would need to watch her back.

But why specifically 242? Why was she the one 249 was starting to turn? Was it just because they had rooms next to each other?

It could be linked to birthdays. 242 and 249 were the only two girls born on the exact same day. They were to different parents, but could it be something that happened to them after their birth?
