In danger: S.W.A.T.

Network: CBS

Can you watch on Amazon Prime? It’s available through Amazon Channels with CBS All Access

What it’s about: A reboot of the 1980s series of the same name, Shemar Moore leads the S.W.A.T. team on some of the most dangerous missions around L.A. He finds himself caught between protecting the people in his community, diffusing racial-focused situations, and doing right by his colleagues.

Why it’s in danger: It’s another show that comes down to the ratings. Despite a semi-successful first season, S.W.A.T. has dipped in the ratings this year. One of the only things that will save it is that it is routinely one of the best shows in its timeslot but it’s one of the worst performing shows for the network.

The Shemar Moore show is one of those that just hasn’t really gotten off the ground this season. Considering CBS will want to add new freshman shows for the next season, this low-rated one would be the most likely to go.

In danger: Deadly Class

Network: SYFY

Can you watch on Amazon Prime? Not for free, but you can watch here.

What it’s about: Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Rick Remender, Deadly Class is about Marcus, a homeless teen who is recruited into Kings Dominion. This is no ordinary school, but one for assassins. Marcus gets the chance to make friends, find a family, and get revenge against the president that he blames for the deaths of his parents.

Why it’s in danger: This is one of those shows that I’d love to see Amazon Prime Video save if it was canceled. Deadly Class is an intense, exciting show that isn’t afraid to tackle the tricky subjects. And as much as SYFY loves it, the ratings haven’t been too hot — at least, not compared to other networks. They have been steady for other SYFY shows though.

One of the main reasons I worry is that Deadly Class hasn’t been renewed yet. The season finale airs on Wednesday and I hoped that a decision would have been made before getting to that point. After all, a show like this is going to have a major cliffhanger and end with lots of questions.
