We’re getting closer to the announcements of cancellations for the year. There are still many shows on the bubble, but which ones are more likely to be canceled? Out of those already canceled, which ones should Amazon save?

There’s so much content on TV now. Whether it’s through primetime TV, cable networks, or even streaming services, there’s just so much to keep up with. This can make it difficult for shows to land the high ratings that they used to.

Plus, with different ways to watch, more people than ever are watching through delayed viewings. Yet, networks aren’t keeping up with this. Advertisers still rely on the live ratings and that can lead to a lot of shows ending prematurely.

Just like last year, there’s a lot of great content in danger of being canceled. Last year, I looked at a list of shows that were low in the ratings at the time. Some of those ended up being renewed, but there are still some of those shows on the bubble. Since then, other shows have premiered or time has gone on for the future of the original series.

It’s time to look once more at the shows still in danger of being canceled. I’m going to do things a little different this time and offer a list of five shows that Amazon really should consider saving. Some of these have been canceled for a while and others have just recently been canceled and deserve a future on Amazon Prime Video.

In danger: Proven Innocent

Network: FOX

Can you watch on Amazon Prime? Not for free, but you can purchase here.

What it’s about: When Madeline Scott was young, she was wrongly accused of murder. Now she’s free and she fights for other people who have been found guilty of crimes they didn’t commit. With each case she and her partner — the lawyer who helped set her free — there’s a true crime podcast that tells the full tale.

Why it’s in danger: To be perfectly honest, this is all about the ratings. They just haven’t been what FOX would want from a new series, even one that airs on a Friday night. They started low and have mostly dropped each week.

FOX will likely want to look at other shows that could hold the Friday night slot. Of course, like with The Gifted, the scheduling was likely a bad idea. Who airs a new show on a Friday night?
