3. What If

What If is also known as The F Word in parts of the world. Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe plays Wallace lives with his sister. He’s spent the last year avoiding social interactions after finding out his girlfriend was sleeping with his medical school professor.

After his friend encourages him to go to a house party, Wallace meets Chantry and they instantly hit things off. However, life isn’t that simple. Despite their attraction, they’re forced into intimate situations and end up with lives that take them in different directions. What will Wallace do when Chantry moves to Taiwan?

2. Allied

This is most definitely not your typical rom-com. In fact, it’s not technically a rom-com but is good for Valentine’s Day. It’s a dramatic movie with a love story that you’ll definitely want to check out. Set in World War II, Allied sees Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard play Max and Marianne, two operatives who fall in love with a mission despite never revealing their true identities.

They soon realize that they’re on opposite sides. When their lives are filled with suspicion and danger, they need to decide whether their love is everything or if they should stand on their own sides of the war.

Within the dramas, there are certainly some comedic moments. Plus, you’ll get to see some excellent acting.

1. Four Weddings and a Funeral

There is only one current movie on Amazon Prime Video that can go on this list. Four Weddings and a Funeral is one of the February releases and it comes just at the right time. Starring Hugh Grant and Andi MacDowell, this is a timeless rom-com that is for absolutely everyone. There’s an excellent mixture of the romantic and the comedy.

Released in 1994, it has aged well. Grant plays Charles, who is sure that he’ll never find the perfect woman, until one day at a wedding he does. And then he finds out that she’s an American and heads off back home.

Over the course of three more weddings and a funeral, the two continue to run into each other. Sometimes you can’t let a border stop you from finding happiness.
