Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

A true classic, Pride and Prejudice is a story that has withstood the test of time and continues to be one of the most popular romance novels of all time.

The story follows Elizabeth Bennett and her sisters as their mother longs to have them married off to wealthy men. When Mr. Bingley moves in next door, Mrs. Bennett immediately sets her sights on him becoming a match for her eldest daughter, Jane, and Elizabeth meets Mr. Darcy for the first time.

Initially put off by the arrogant Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth wants nothing to do with him. However, as their paths continually cross, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy find themselves falling in love.

Originally published in 1813, Pride and Prejudice continues to endure to this day. Translated into numerous screen adaptations and with several book reinterpretations, this romance novel is truly timeless.

The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

If you enjoy the Regency era, you will definitely enjoy this Regency-era romance novel by Julia Quinn. Set in 1813, The Duke and I brings the era of Jane Austin to life.
