4. Four Weddings and a Funeral

Next on the list, it’s all about Four Weddings and a Funeral. Arguably one of the best movies of the 90s and certainly one of Hugh Grant’s best movies, it’s a beautiful tale of love, loss, and serendipity.

While at a wedding, Grant’s Charles ends up meeting a woman (played by Andie MacDowell). The problem is, this woman is American and she has to return home. Despite their connection, it looks like they will forever be separated by an ocean.

Yet, over the course more weddings and a funeral, the two keep reconnecting. It’s clear that there’s something between them.

With an all-star cast and a typical but adorable script, this is one of those movies that has always stood the test of time. It’s a favorite for many and if you haven’t seen it yet, you need to watch it right now. Even if you are planning on watching the Super Bowl, put this movie on afterward.

Once you have put it on the first time, you’re not going to want to turn it off. You’ll have it on repeat, especially in the run-up to Valentine’s Day. You’ll also start questioning your own belief in fate and love throughout.
