18. John Wick: Chapter 3

Directed by: Chad Stahelski

Starring: Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Anjelica Huston

Date arriving: May 17, 2019

Why we need to watch it: As much as sometimes we question whether we need sequels, John Wick is one of those times it’s a yes. Chapter 3 is set to be the final installment. That means character storylines will be wrapped up and it will feel like the end. At least, that’s what should happen.

Because it’s meant to be the last movie in the franchise with Keanu Reeves, there’s an element of excitement to it. The stars you expect are back, everyone is in their rightful place in terms of production, and this is set to be a highly explosive and intense event. Anyone who has seen the previous two movies will need this to complete the story.

17. Downton Abbey

Directed by: Michael Engler

Starring: Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern, Imelda Staunton, and Geraldine James

Date arriving: Sept. 20, 2019

Why we need to watch it: There is absolutely no way any of us wanted to see the end of Downton Abbey. Hearing that the movie was officially happening was the best news in the world. Finding out that it would be out in 2019 was even better.

We’ll get to see all our favorite characters back. While the final season did wrap up a lot of storylines, there were plenty of questions for others. Things just didn’t feel closed off enough and now we finally get one last hurrah. It’s just a shame we won’t have some of the best characters from the very beginning. Matthew and Sybil, anyone?
