Why we need to watch it: There are plenty of horror movies we can’t wait for. Pet Sematary is a remake we didn’t think we’d need but after IT, we know we do. It’s time to see the Stephen King novel back on our screens in this upcoming modern-day telling.

The movie’s release date has been moved up, making it even more exciting. When the trailer was released, it looked true to the novel. And we can’t overlook the strong casting. This could be the horror movie of the year. Well, maybe…there’s one more…

3. Us

Directed by: Jordan Peele

Starring: Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Elizabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker.

Date arriving: March 22, 2019

Why we need to watch it: If you’re only going to see one horror movie this year, it has to be Us. Directed by Get Out‘s Jordan Peele. you’ll immediately know that this has all the right stuff to make it just as great, if not better.

We also can’t overlooked the excellent cast, especially Lupita Nyong’o, and the fact that it’s Blumhouse behind the production. Let’s not also forget that it has a creepy The Strangers feel but with a supernatural-mirror twist. If the trailer doesn’t leave you creeped out, nothing will!
