1. Auld Lang Syne

When it comes for those in need of a comedy, Auld Lang Syne is the place to turn. The 2016 movie brings you a story of friends and celebration. All that leads to comedic disaster when one secret comes out and it snowballs into potentially ruining the carefully-crafted perceptions of each other.

The new year is a time for new beginnings. We tend to set resolutions and sometimes they involve being more like our real selves. We all have a side that other people see but eventually, we want them to know the real us. And other times, we want to keep up the charade of who they think we are.

This is certainly one of those movies you’ll either like or dislike. Those who love the comedic talents of Lucy Walters, Elizabeth Hower, and Kimberly Dilts will enjoy this movie from start to finish. While all characters are the creative types, there are points of the movie we can all relate to. There are moments of disappointment as they realize what they haven’t achieved and what they wanted out of life.

Character development and writing are on point. Each of the characters learn something by the end, and you certainly will, too.

You can rent or buy Auld Lang Syne through Amazon. If you’re not sure, I’d suggest renting this year with the look at buying next year if you enjoy it.
