5. Bad Santa

Let’s get the adult-only movie out of the way first. Bad Santa is a must for the Billy Bob Thornton fans out there. He’s nothing like his character in Goliath, as this time he plays one half of a con duo. Every year, they head out for their one big con of the year.

Dressed as Santa and his elf, the two conmen land jobs at shopping malls as the Mall Santa. They then steal from all the shops in the place.

This year is a little different. Thornton’s Willie is a drunk and it’s getting worse. With various slip-ups, he ends up with the mall security guard onto him. On top of that, a young kid makes him realize that maybe he’s not as bad as he could be. While there is the comedy and the bad guy in there, it’s a heart-warming movie by the end.

And if that isn’t enough Christmas comedy for you, check out the sequel. Made 13 years later, Thornton returns and ends up pulled into one more gig. This time, his mom (played by the excellent Kathy Bates) is involved and you just know how that is going to go down.

You can buy or rent the sequel, but you can only buy the first movie to watch through Amazon Prime. Once you buy, the movies are forever in your Amazon library, so you can stream every single Christmas Day moving forward.
