Home Alone has to be one of the funniest Christmas movies ever. It’s definitely in my top 10 of movies to watch with the whole family and will be sure to be the perfect addition to your Christmas Eve marathon.

It all starts in the runup to Christmas, as the McCallister family heads off on their Christmas vacation. Kevin is accidentally left home alone and the fun begins. At first, it all seems like a kid’s best dream ever. He gets to do everything that he wants, without his siblings and cousins picking on him.

Then the reality sets in. On top of that, he has two robbers who want to burgle his house. Of course, the master of tricks is not going to make it easy for them. Who didn’t want to set up those booby traps as a kid? Of course you did!
