Lore

Network: Amazon

Number of seasons: 2

Why it’s in danger of being canceled: There is one reason that this is on the list: there’s been no announcement yet. Of course, there’s still time. Lore Season 2 wasn’t confirmed until February this year, so there is definitely time for it to be renewed.

One thing that makes it hard to tell if Amazon will renew a show is not having access to any viewing information. We don’t get to know how many people start watching a series and how many continue to the end.

Lore had a huge change for the second season. I enjoyed it for the most part but there were elements of the first season missing. One thing about an anthology series is that these types of risks can be taken. We may just get another season to see if ratings can hold steady.

MacGyver

Network: CBS

Number of seasons: 3

Why it’s in danger of being canceled: MacGyver is one of the weakest shows on CBS this year. The only show worse than it is Madam Secretary, but this is a Sunday night show that has a lot of changes coming and needs to bring in the viewers.

George Eads is leaving the show at some point this season. While the exit storyline hasn’t been shared, it does cause a risk for the future of the series. There are other shows that could help to keep Sunday nights on CBS strong.
