The Gifted

Network: FOX

Number of seasons: 2

Why it’s in danger of being canceled: I’ll be honest in saying that I love The Gifted and this season has been good, but the ratings aren’t great. And that’s coming off a season with mediocre ratings in the first place.

FOX made a huge mistake putting The Gifted on a Tuesday night. In the first timeslot of the night, it’s up against the likes of NCIS and The Conners. While The Conners may be a freshman show, it’s pretty much Roseanne without the titular character so nothing overly new. The X-Men-univese show didn’t stand a chance.

It’s also the lowest-rated series on the network. While I’d love to see it succeed to another year, I can’t see it happening. Sorry!

Happy Together

Network: CBS

Number of seasons: 1

Why it’s in danger of being canceled: Can I be honest? I didn’t see this show making it past the first season at all. As much as I wanted to like it for Damon Wayans Jr., the acting and comedy seemed forced just from the trailer.

Happy Together is the lowest-rated freshman comedy on the network. It’s not received extra episodes, which is always a bad sign, and isn’t performing well against other shows at the same time on Monday nights.
