Madam Secretary

Network: 5

Number of seasons: CBS

Why it’s in danger of being canceled: As the lowest-rated CBS show, it’s clear that this one is likely to be canceled. One thing that gives away the chances of success is that CBS has opted to keep the show running to the weekend of Christmas. Most shows have gone on a winter break, but Madam Secretary is running until Dec. 23.

There is a chance the show had an idea that it was going to be canceled. This was a bubble show last season.

Midnight, Texas

Network: NBC

Number of seasons: 2

Why it’s in danger of being canceled: Let me start by saying that I don’t want Midnight, Texas to be canceled. This is a show I only got into after NYCC 2018 and I’ve been hooked since. Yet, the writing is on the wall for the end.

Midnight, Texas is the lowest-rated show on NBC. What hasn’t helped is that this is a show that has been moved from the summer lineup to the fall lineup. Hopefully, NBC will decide to move it back to the summer when it stood a better chance.

The ratings are also lower than Timeless, which was canceled earlier this year with a two-hour finale on NBC. Considering the social support couldn’t save Timeless, things aren’t looking good for Midnight, Texas.

Update: Midnight, Texas was canceled on Dec. 22.
