1. Season 5: The One With the Flashbacks

There’s only one episode that can take the top spot and that’s because it’s a mixture of Thanksgiving episodes in one. Technically it’s a cheat’s way out but this is one episode I can put on over and over again and it never gets old.

Most sitcoms have a filler episode or two where it looks back on previous funny moments. Friends‘ version worked so well because it was all centered on one particular theme: Thanksgiving. And it’s not just about past episodes we’ve seen, but stories from the groups’ pasts.

Throughout the episode, the group of friends revealed their own worst Thanksgiving. In true Phoebe style, she won with a Thanksgiving from her past life. After that, they focus on the current day, which involves turkeys on heads.

The best thing about this episode? Chandler reveals to Monica that he loves her. It’s at the end of a big argument over something that happened in the past and is the first time Monica (and we) hears it. Plus, the reaction from Chandler is priceless.

Let’s be honest, there’s only one episode that you honestly need to watch.
