7. Season 10: The One With the Late Thanksgiving

Granted, a lot of the plot lines are icky or forced in this. Each of the friends have something to do on Thanksgiving that doesn’t involve Monica and Chandler. Meanwhile, Monica has done Thanksgiving dinner despite not wanting to, expecting everyone to turn up on time.

Seeing Monica struggle with people turning up late is fun and extremely stereotypical of her by this point. Poor Chandler tries to calm her down but gets irate at the situation, too. And it’s not like they all really have the best of excuses.

However, the ending saves this episode from being at the bottom of the pile. At the very end, Monica and Chandler find out a woman in Ohio has chosen them to adopt her baby. It’s the phone call they (and we) had been waiting for all this time.

6. Season 8: The One With the Rumor

We all remember the “I Hate Rachel Greene Club,” right? This was the episode that this came up. One of the most infamous clubs didn’t show up until the eighth season of Friends! And it was in the Thanksgiving episode.

Monica decides to invite Will to Thanksgiving this year, who happens to have been a kid from high school. And not just any kid. One of the overweight kids who, like Monica, has lost a lot of weight and is now super gorgeous.

Oh, and it just so happens that Will is played by Brad Pitt.

During the episode, Rachel learns that Will and Ross co-founded the I Hate Rachel Greene Club. Rachel is understandably upset but it seems like everyone holds grudges for a really long time. Regardless, it was a fun episode with the seasonal theme.
