There are many shows that highlight strong young women, and Hanna is certainly one of them. However, this isn’t about one woman trained to defeat men. It’s about an army of female assassins specifically created to infiltrate. After all, who is going to assume 16-year-old girls are able to kill?

The series picks up with Hanna and her father living in the wilderness. She’s being trained to survive and fight, but she knows nothing like the real world. When she goes against her father’s rules, she ends up catching the attention of people who have been searching for her throughout her life. Now she and her father need to split up to protect her.

Throughout the course of two seasons, Hanna learns more about the world. She has to figure out why she was created but what she wants to be in life. It’s up to her to figure out who to trust and who to protect.

The series takes us on a wild journey across countries. We see life for these teenagers who are developed in isolation, but will their need to connect with others and find friends affect who they become? Will Hanna’s need to fit in change her goals?
