24. Catastrophe

Next, it’s all about another Prime Original that is only an Original in the States. The British series is a funny look at love and relationships. American Rob meets Irish teacher Sharon while on a business trip to London. The two enjoy a no strings attached relationship, which is perfect until one thing happens: Sharon ends up pregnant.

Of course, neither are quite prepared for the news. They do attempt to make a go of it, but there are other things that get in the way: one of them being from different countries! Oh, and the pregnancy isn’t exactly the most smooth sailing one.

Along the way, there are plenty of other complications and highly entertaining moments. We get to see how the different families react to the news of the pregnancy and the unconventional relationship. Let’s not forget that religion and cultural expectations are added into the mix.

Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan are writers and the stars of the series. It’s hilarious, British comedy that shouldn’t be missed. There are currently three seasons available, with a fourth on its way probably next year.
