3. The Boys

In a world where it’s all about superheroes, it can be hard to impress. The Boys manages it immediately. Based on the graphic novels of the same name, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg tell a story of the real superheroes.

Move over Superman and Iron Man. If superheroes were real, they wouldn’t be saving the world just for the good of it. They’ve be egotistical and power hungry. They’d be just like celebrities in the real world. And that’s just what we get, especially when it comes to The Seven.

What’s to stop them? How about a vigilante group known as “The Boys.” Led by Butcher, the group make it their mission to take Supes down one by one. They all have a reason to gain vengeance. Well, Butcher and Hughie do.

The series isn’t for adults. Think of Titans on DC Universe and then multiple it by 100. There’s plenty of gore and violence, the bad language is everywhere, and there’s no holding back. At the same time, it remains relevant and entertaining.

There’s only one season at the time of writing this, but the second season has been confirmed and is in development. This is a series you’ll end up watching again and again, though!
