10 STARZ Originals to watch through Amazon Channels
3. Vida
When it comes to representation, Vida kicks everything else out of the water. This is one of those STARZ Originals that everyone needs to watch. It doesn’t just bring LGBTQ representation but also Latinx representation.
The series is about two estranged sisters. When they return to their hometown after their mother’s death, they learn that things have not always been what it all seemed. For one, the mother who disowned her daughter for being gay turns out to be married to a woman.
Things are turned completely upside down when it turns out their mother left her bar and building jointly between her daughters and her wife. Now the three need to figure out what to do, especially when the business is completely failing and the books are a mess.
At the same time, the sisters learn more about who they are as people and as sisters. The half-hour drama has just six episode to its first season. Vida Season 2 has been confirmed, but you’ve got plenty of time to catch up on the first season now. You’ll be surprised by how much it speaks to you!
