5. Flatliners

This isn’t the most recent remake but the original Flatliners coming to Amazon Prime Video. It’s certainly a movie to put on and try out. LIke all the other movies on this list, this is dropping on the service on Oct. 1.

The premise of the reboot is pretty much the same as this one. Starring Kiefer Sutherland as Nelson, a Chicago medical student, he and his friends decide to look for answers about the afterlife. He ends his life with the promise from his friends that they’ll bring him back.

Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, and William Baldwin all star, as they all take turns into the afterlife, looking for various answers. Each one tries to put it all to the limit, with some serious paranormal consequences and risks involved.

4. Carrie

Carrie was one of those horror movies I grew up watching, so it had to go on the list. Based on the novel by Stephen King, we get the original 1976 version of the movie dropping on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 1.

Carrie stars Sissy Spacek as the titular character, a sensitive and withdrawn teenager who is taunted by other students in the school. On top of that, she is abused by her mother, played by Piper Laurie. As odd things start happening around her, she starts to believe that she has supernatural powers.

Tommy Ross, an empathetic student who invites her to prom, encourages her to let her guard down. This leads to a violent and dangerous path, as she shows off her full telekinetic abilities.
