Westworld season 2, episode 8 synopsis, preview and live stream
Here’s everything you need to know about Sunday’s new episode of Westworld and how you can watch it on Amazon Channels with a free trial.
There are only three more episodes left in season 2 of Westworld, including tonight’s new episode titled “Kiksuya” that appears to give us a bit of an origin story for one of the most mysterious characters in the show.
Akecheta is featured prominently in the teaser trailer that aired after last week’s episode. We know very little about the leader of the Ghost Nation tribe. We do know he and Angela were responsible for convincing Logan to invest in the idea behind Westworld, which then led to William and Logan’s father, James Delos, getting on board with this adult amusement park where everyone’s true colors are revealed.
And we know he’s been in the park for a long time, not quite as long as Dolores, but he’s mentioned as the first member of Ghost Nation after Ashley Stubbs and Grace (Emily) were captured and were eventually freed, or escaped in the case of William’s daughter.
Then, we saw him arrive when Maeve reunited with her daughter and asked her to join since they were headed down the same path.
That makes me think he’s gained consciousness just like Maeve and Dolores. But we know next to nothing else when it comes to his time in the park and his interactions with other hosts and guests.
This week’s episode looks like it’ll be a big education into Akecheta, Ghost Nation and further pull the curtain back on the inner-workings of Westworld.
As is the norm for Westworld and many other HBO shows, the synopsis (via TV Guide) doesn’t give us a whole lot to go on that we can speculate and theorize about what’s coming.
