Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s new episode of the HBO Emmy-nominated series Westworld and how you can watch online.
We’re headed into the home stretch of Westworld season 2 and after last week’s episode, it appears we’re headed toward another mind-blowing season finale. Last week left us with Bernard having the data in his brain extracted as Elsie overlooked and Bernard “waking up” on the train coming to Westworld where he sees Dolores in her blue dress, crosses path with Teddy who is leaving the saloon to meet Dolores, and once Bernard walks in, he sees Ford sitting at the piano.
Ford turns to Bernard and says, “Hello, old friend.” and fans everywhere lost it! That was an awesome cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
That wasn’t all we saw either. We saw new Teddy adjust to his new personality after Dolores thought he was too weak to survive this uprising, Maeve reunited with her old daughter who didn’t recognize her and who had a new mommy replacement, then they were ambushed by Ghost Nation. And then, there’s the Man in Black who thinks his daughter, Emily, is actually a host made by Ford to throw him off his game. William and Emily talked and appeared dedicated to rehabbing their broken relationship stemming from the suicide of Juliette, his husband/her mom after she learned about William’s love for Dolores.
Got all that?!
Now, let’s move forward with this week’s episode “Les Ecorches” which means the flayed. That ominous episode title could mean a few things. But what I think it’ll refer to is the actual construction of the hosts with all their musculature structure, except for their skin. Could we get an inside look at the building of the hosts before they’re complete? Could it resemble the drone hosts or the hosts we see in the new intro? Possibly.
As is often the case, the synopsis doesn’t reveal much in the way of information or anything that could be conveyed as spoilery material. But TV Guide does provide fans with this four-word synopsis.
"The match is lit."
That sounds enticing and it makes me think that now that the match is lit, we’re about to have a blaze on our hands leading up to the season finale on June 24.
