The Expanse writers and fans are hoping the show will be picked up by Amazon after the show was unceremoniously canceled by Syfy.

After a brutal last few days for fans of network and cable TV that saw a ton of big fan favorites canceled, there remains a sliver of hope from fans of these shows that Amazon could potentially revive these shows.

One of the shows to get canceled was The Expanse which was canceled after three seasons on Syfy. It was a punch to the gut for the cast, crew and all the millions of fans around the world that Syfy put an end to the show. But just because it’s coming to an end on Syfy doesn’t mean it has to come to an end entirely, right?

That’s the mindset of the tremendous fans of The Expanse who are rallying together with the hopes that either Netflix or Amazon will revive the show. The show has a legion of fans domestically where ratings were strong but also internationally where the show is a big hit.

Netflix holds the international rights for The Expanse and their commitment to producing and developing sci-fi content this year could make for a logical fit. But I think The Expanse would also make for a perfect addition to Amazon where their lineup of Originals could certainly be boosted by a sci-fi show of this caliber.

Plus, Amazon Prime Video already carries the first two seasons of the series in the United States. So fans are already familiar with the show, so what better way to extend that relationship than by continuing the show for at least a fourth season?

Fans put together an awesome trailer to show put their support behind the efforts to save the show.

And you can join the 60,000-plus people to have signed the petition to save The Expanse. The petition is looking for 75,00 signatures and they’re almost there, but let’s see if we can hit triple digits and blow past 100,000 signatures, and let’s see if we can circulate this article to as many fans around the world as possible to let them know to rally together and let their voice be heard!

Don’t give up hope or stop fighting to save The Expanse.
