Here’s everything you need to know about episode 9 of season 2 of Sneaky Pete titled “Buffalo Soldiers” as the plan is really coming together but the real danger is happening outside the casino con.

After that dramatic cliffhanger ending with Julia running for her life in the previous episode, I bet many fans of Sneaky Pete watched episode 9 immediately after. Thankfully, Julia runs to her car and escapes after her window is smashed. She’s going to have to keep a low-profile though for a bit and is hiding out at Trish’s with Lance. Not ideal, but desperate times.

Carly tells Audrey she knows the guy who killed her parents wasn’t drunk. Audrey says Jacque was a mean dude and if he wasn’t drunk then, he would have been drunk later and killed someone else. So there’s definitely some fishy business involved here we need to get more clarity on. Carly wants to join the family business and bring down bad guys. And I can’t wait to see her do that in future seasons as she gets older.

Sean asks Taylor if he’s sleeping with Shannon. Taylor says he is in a matter of fact fashion. Sean says she won’t leave him though because he’s rich and Taylor isn’t.

While Taylor wrestles with his feelings for Shannon and whether this is an affair or something that can be real, he secretly plants the gun that killed Winslow in Colin’s desk to frame him for the job.

Back at the casino, the buffalo is set to be authenticated by the Smithsonian tomorrow by noon. They have to rush the build with no rehearsal and everyone is in a bit of a panic, but not necessarily overly worried. Marius brings in season 1 darling, Katie. But then she bails. Real Pete says rushing is a mistake! He’s right. Marius now needs Luca to sign off on it because they’ll follow along. He does, but they’re down a man and Real Pete needs to join the con as Katie’s replacement. She was going to interview Suzanne and slip something in her drink that will make her run for the bathroom. He’s nervous and could blow the whole thing.

While Pete would very much like to run away at this point, it’s actually Valerie who does run away after escaping from the storage shed. Unfortunately, Colin knows where she went and he’s holding her friend Wendy hostage and he’s looking to kill Valerie.

Back at the casino, Pete is interviewing Suzanne and it’s a disaster. He’s so nervous he can barely speak. He was going to slip something in her drink, but he fumbles the water bottle and spills everything just as she walks back in her office. Making matters worse, he broke his earpiece that Marius was using to tell Pete what to say. Pete improvises and flirts with Suzanne and starts flexing and she’s pretty into it. She offers him a drink. They do a shot. Real Pete drops the liquid in. He did the job. Marius calls Pete a hero. He feels genuinely awful about what he did to her, but he was in a pinch.

This opens the way for Marius and Gina to bring in the decoy buffalo to set up the heist that will happen in the season 2 finale.

Meanwhile, Audrey and Carly are trailing Marjorie with the intention of getting some dirt. Audrey and Marjorie have a face-to-face but Marjorie doesn’t spill the beans.

Little does she know it, but at the same time, Roby tells Taylor she needs a cheek swap from Audrey to see if her DNA matches the blood sample they pulled from Winslow’s car.

And there’s more bad news. Sam and Otto go to Wendy’s looking for Valerie, but gunshots come through the door as Sam covers Otto from the gunfire.
