Sneaky Pete season 2, episode 8 reactions and grade: Marius Josipovic

Here’s everything that went down in Sneaky Pete season 2, episode 8 titled Marius Josipovic and what it means moving forward.

We’re headed down the stretch run of season 2 of the Amazon Original series Sneaky Pete. After this episode, there is only two more remaining before we’re left to wait for the release of season 3. To begin episode 8 which is titled “Marius Jospiovic” we start with Real Pete talking with his mom, Maggie about how Marius stole his family from underneath him. Maggie says they just need to worry about getting the money and staying alive for now.

Speaking of staying alive, Colin is staking out the bail bonds business and watching over Julia who is holding Valerie. Meanwhile, Sam and Otto go to his house to get the proclamation back he stole from Moe’s bar. Of course, Colin shows up and guns are pointed everywhere.

And speaking of guns, Taylor needs Lance to show him where the Winslow grave is so he can bury the gun with it and the evidence will forever be lost. The only problem with that is they can’t find the grave.

Audrey doesn’t seem to be too worried about her own legal matters and is instead suspicious of what Pete (Marius) and Maggie are up to.

Marius says Maggie is a phony. She admits to using shortcuts to give them what they want. She’s a con artist too. But together, they have to figure out this buffalo problem. At an antique shop, they spot a buffalo that will serve as a double at the casino so they can take the one with the money inside out in a swap. Maggie comes up with a sob story about Marius having a brain tumor to get the man to sell them the buffalo. The con worked.

Real Pete goes to the farmhouse to “introduce” himself to the family. There they all have an awkward dinner where Pete is Marius and Marius is Pete and Maggie is the only one who is aware. Audrey makes Maggie, Pete, Marius and Gina leave. She knows they’re lying about something.

With the crew prepping for the heist, the FBI interrupts them and wants them to work with them to get Luca behind bars. Luca will lead the FBI away thinking he has the money, but it’ll all be a diversion. It’s the perfect plan.

Audrey and Carly take a drive where she gives her a look at the family business. Audrey says Maggie never forgave her after she got her ex arrested. Carly’s mom Lyla was covering for Maggie. It cost Audrey her relationship with both her daughters.

We got a cliffhanger ending after Julia tells Dockery his money is in trouble. Julia doesn’t want to let Valerie be executed. She runs for her life.

We’re running back to our remote control so we can continue our binge-watch to see what happens next. Will Julia be safe? Will Taylor find the grave? Can he keep Audrey safe? Will Audrey discover what Pete and Maggie are really up to? Will anyone recognize Pete is their kin?
