The second episode of season 2 of Sneaky Pete sees Marius work a con in order to get Real Pete released from prison and Julia takes a crash in money laundering.

With the clock ticking for Marius to find Pete’s mom and the $11 million, the best play is to get Real Pete out of prison. It’s a bold strategy, but let’s see if it works in episode 2 of season 2 of Sneaky Pete titled “Inside Out.”

Marjorie pretends to be Pete’s lawyer and demands his release since he’s been held 10 days beyond the time of his scheduled release. She tries to confuse Duane Richter who suspects there might be something fishy going on. And there is.

Now Marius gets involved in the con when he sets up commissioner’s office employee Carol Jensen who has an Instagram account that shows off her culinary fare. Marius sells her on an appointment at a prestigious restaurant she’s been trying to get into, but it’s all a ploy so he can steal her ID card to get in her office so he can call Duane Richter and say hackers changed the photo on the file and convince him that the paperwork for Pete is in order and he’s gotta be released.

While he’s on the phone, Carol realizes she doesn’t have her ID and rushes back to her office to see if it’s there. I had never been so nervous because Marius is inside the office knowing Carol is closing in on him and the whole con could blow up in his face. The tension was making my chest tight, I could barely contain myself.

And just like that, Marius convinces Richter the hackers screwed up the release and he doesn’t want to upset the commissioner so he better let Pete out. And sure enough, Pete is on the side of the road cleaning up garbage with the rest of his fellow inmates when they all board the bus and Pete gets left behind, on purpose. He is released, but the problem is Marius and Marjorie don’t know where he is.
