Sneaky Pete season 2: Everything you need to know
Sneaky Pete season 2 will be released on Amazon Prime Video this weekend and here are all the details you need to know before binge-watching the new episodes.
My favorite Amazon Original drama returns with a new season on Friday. Sneaky Pete season 2 drops on March 9 and I’m so excited to see what the new episodes have in store for viewers. The first season took a long time to develop after it looked like it would be all set to be a CBS show, but then the drama unfolded with a new showrunner taking over and Sneaky Pete eventually finding a home at Amazon Prime Video.
The first season started with little fanfare but as soon as viewers checked out, word of mouth quickly circulated that Amazon had a certifiable hit on their hands. For my money, Sneaky Pete is the new flagship drama on Amazon Prime until The Man in the High Castle recaptures the momentum they had in their first season.
If you haven’t seen the first season, stop reading this, because you’re going to get all sorts of spoilers and I’d hate for that to happen. So go binge-watch the 10 episodes and circle back to get the skinny on what’s in store for season 2.
Sneaky Pete season 2 synopsis
Just when it looked like Pete/Marius’ plan was going to work and he’d be able to skip town with all the money and his life, things took a swift turn when he was abducted and ordered to pay back the $11 million Pete’s mom owes them or else they’re going to kill the Bernhardts and him.
You can read the Sneaky Pete season 2 synopsis, courtesy of Amazon below.
"“Just when he’s about to get out of Bridgeport, Marius (Giovanni Ribisi) is grabbed by two thugs who think he’s Pete. If he doesn’t take them to Pete’s missing mother and the millions she stole from their mysterious employer, they will kill him and the Bernhardts. Now Marius must find Pete’s mother and protect the family, all while figuring out a way to keep the money for himself.”"
I’m already nervous and having anxiety about how Marius is going to track down Pete’s mom and if/when he does how he’s going to convince her to go along with whatever plan he’s thought of. It’s one thing for Marius to convince Pete’s estranged extended family that he’s really Pete, but there’s no chance he’ll be able to trick Pete’s mom that he’s her son. This is life or death so I have a feeling that Marius will find a way to escape with his life, and possibly with the loot.
