The Dallas Cowboys will be the subject of the new season of Amazon’s All or Nothing and it’ll be the perfect amount of dysfunction and drama.
Drama always seems to follow the Dallas Cowboys so it’s perfect that they will be the subject of the new season of the Amazon Original docu-series All or Nothing. The show previously covered the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams but season 3 could be the biggest and the best yet considering it’s “America’s Team.”
The new season will be released on April 27 and will chronicle the events of the 2017 season. The Cowboys finished the year with a 9-7 record and failed to make the playoffs, one year after they had the best record in the NFC.
Their season was marred by distractions and controversy stemming from the Ezekiel Elliott suspension. He didn’t serve the suspension until later in the year, a time when the Cowboys really could have used their star running back. The suspension also caused a rift between Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. And then there’s the whole deal with the national anthem and the controversy that erupted from some players taking a knee to protest police brutality and social injustices.
Needless to say, there are no shortages of storylines that will be documented when the series returns on April 27.
This will be must-see TV for Cowboys fans and NFL fans alike. While it may be tough to relive the season that fell way short of expectations, it’ll still be a fascinating look back at all the drama that took place behind the scenes on and off the field.
I expect season 3 of All or Nothing will be the most-watched of the series so far because Cowboys fans are a huge fanbase and they love their team.
Beyond this season, I’m hopeful Amazon will explore making more sports documentaries like this and their upcoming series about Michigan football. We’ve seen this type of format is a big hit among die-hard football fans as well as casual football fans. Plus, it gives fans some NFL content to soak in during the offseason when fans are starved for football programming on their screen.
