Bosch season 4 gets April release date on Amazon Prime Video

Bosch season 4 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on April 13 but you can watch the official trailer for the gritty crime drama right now.

I grew up watching gritty crime dramas like NYPD Blue and Homicide: Life on the Street before graduating to shows like The Shield and The Wire that brought the cop drama to cable. That background in cop dramas is what got me interested in the Amazon Original series Bosch. The series stars Titus Welliver as Detective Harry Bosch and I’m a big fan of his work and he’s done a fantastic job bringing the character, Michael Connelly penned for his best-selling novels.

Entering its fourth season on Amazon Prime Video, Bosch could make the case for being the best show Amazon has developed and made. And it looks and sounds like Bosch season 4 could be the best season yet.

Bosch will return on April 13 for season 4 and the official synopsis sounds like it’s going to be really intense for Detective Bosch as he takes on a new case that has L.A. ready to riot all the while he continues to find the person responsible for the murder of his mother.

"Detective Harry Bosch returns for a new explosive season. He is assigned a new case that has the city of Los Angeles on a verge of a riot. Bosch finds himself at several crossroads both professionally and personally. He remains relentless in his pursuit of his mother’s killer and will stop anything to pursue justice. This will be a season unlike any other."

Doesn’t this make you just want to call in sick to work or school for the rest of the week and start binge-watching the first three seasons all over again? Well, it does for me.

Season 4 sees the triumphant return of Eric Overmyer who stepped aside last season to helm The Man in the High Castle, but he will work as the co-showrunner with Daniel Pyne.

Bosch shows no signs of slowing as the show has already been renewed for season 5, two months ahead of the season 4 premiere.
