Amazon released an official trailer for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski at New York Comic-Con 2017. Watch the trailer here.

The new teaser trailer for the Amazon original series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is here. Amazon released the trailer during the panel for the show at New York Comic-Con 2017. We have shared the new trailer for the series below.

John Krasinski stars as Jack Ryan in the series, which is based on Tom Clancy’s famous character but not on one particular story about the character.

The first season consists of eight episodes, although we don’t know when exactly to expect those episodes to hit Amazon Prime Video. We do know the series is coming some time in 2018. Whenever it premieres, the series should be Amazon’s biggest series so far.

To date, Amazon’s biggest show remains The Man in the High Castle, while Bosch is another contender for that title. Overall, though, Amazon has not been able to compete with Netflix’s list of high profile dramas. Even Hulu, with The Handmaid’s Tale, has had more success in the genre. Jack Ryan is likely the answer for Amazon.

Amazon has invested in a franchise that spans books, shows and movies, and with many of Hollywood’s biggest stars playing main character Jack Ryan. That investment should pay off, and Jack Ryan should overtake The Man in the High Castle as the most popular Amazon original series. It won’t happen right away, but within a few months, more subscribers will have watched Jack Ryan than any other Amazon series. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.

That’s not even the full trailer! It’s only a teaser trailer. The first full trailer for the series will likely be released closer to the release date.

We still don’t know when to expect the series to be released on Prime Video. There were reports it could be released in March, but that was quickly denied by Amazon’s reps. With that in mind, the series will probably come some time in the summer or fall of 2018.
