The biggest movie release this weekend is Blade Runner 2049. The sequel to the original movie has been in the cards for what feels like forever but now the time has come to see what this sci-fi thriller is all about. Can it possibly live up to the original? I think the presence of Ryan Gosling will certainly go a long way in that. He’s a budding superstar leading man if he isn’t already based on his Oscar nomination for La La Land. He’ll be able to bring a diverse audience of men and women who will want to see what he does in this role. It’s a role that’s unlike anything he’s done before.
I’m definitely in the camp that is intrigued by the movie. I’m really interested how they’ll fill up the two hours and 43 minutes the movie will run. That seems like a lot of movie and could challenge the patience of some movie-goers.

If you’re not going to have time to make it out to the movie theater to see Blade Runner 2049 or simply prefer to watch movies from the comfort of your own home, then you’ll want to know when you can watch from home.
The Amazon Digital release date will come about a week or so before the Blu-ray and DVD are for sale on Amazon. But that will still be at least three months so we’re looking at mid-January as the earliest date on the spectrum for Blade Runner 2049 to be available for digital download.

After that, then the DVD and Blu-ray will be for sale on Amazon. And they’ll be discounted at the time of the release, so make sure you take advantage of those lower prices. The DVD and Blu-ray is likely to be released in mid-late January. We will update the post with the latest news and dates when Blade Runner 2049 ends its run in the theaters and a date is defined.
