One Mississippi season 2 trailer is here thanks to Amazon Video. Check out the clip before diving in with season 2 in September.

One Mississippi season 2 premieres exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Sept. 8 but you don’t have to wait any longer to see the season 2 official trailer. Amazon Video released the official trailer for the sophomore season of the Amazon Original series starring Tig Notaro on Monday, Aug. 28 and picks up where season 1 left off with Tig living in a small Mississippi town with her stepfather after the death of her mother in the series premiere.

The trailer was released exclusively to Entertainment Weekly before being made available on YouTube, Twitter and anywhere else trailers are shown.

If you haven’t seen the first season yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for, because it’s one of the most clever and unique shows available. If you have Amazon Prime, I’d definitely recommend adding One Mississippi to your watch list and watching the first season before the second arrived on Sept. 8. The dramedy is a quick watch and makes for an entertaining binge-watch.

The clip sees one person telling Tig that she loves her soul and that she can pray the gay away. In Tig’s patented deadpan delivery, she responds by asking if she wants to pray for the gay to stay.

"“Season 2 is somehow more honest while being more fictional than season 1 was,” Notaro previously told EW. “There are still nuggets of truth from my life that we have used, but there are also elements from the lives of the other writers woven in. It really makes for such an exciting experience for me personally because I’m not stuck telling the same story that maybe people have already seen in my documentary or read in my book. … It makes it fun to see the ‘what if’ side of life.”"

The new season will also feature a true-to-life romance with Tig’s real-life wife Stephanie Allyne playing Kate, who will be a potential love interest this season.
