Game of Thrones returns on Sunday night with the third episode of season 7. After tonight’s episode, there will only be four episodes remaining this season and only 10 for the remainder of the series. With so few episodes left in the series, you can’t afford to miss a week because there is so much action, drama and adventure packed into each 60-minute installment. The third episode titled “The Queen’s Justice” promises to be one of the best in series history because it’ll deliver a moment fans had waited years to see.

This episode sees Jon Snow travel to Dragonstone with Ser Davos by his side to visit Daenerys Targaryen after she was talked into doing so by Tyrion Lannister. He vouched for the King in the North, but Dany only will welcome him if he “bends the knee” and acknowledges her as the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. There could be some hesitation on Jon’s part, but I’m operating under the belief that despite any initial skepticism or hesitation to do so, Tyrion and Ser Davos will help him understand that there is a bigger war to worry about than who sits on the Iron Throne. Jon is traveling to Dragonstone because there is a wealth of dragonglass that can be used to make weapons in the fight against the Night King and the White Walkers.
The episode synopsis from TV Guide doesn’t reveal much in the way of plot details but the little bit of information can be used to extrapolate what is forthcoming.
"“Daenerys holds court; Cersei returns a gift; Jaime learns from his mistakes.”"
Daenerys holding court refers to her meeting with Jon and we’ve covered that. But Cersei returning a gift alludes to the return of Euron Greyjob to King’s Landing after he and his men attacked the ships carrying Yara and Theon Greyjoy, Ellaria Sand and her three Sand Snake daughters, Obara, Nymeria and Tyene. Euron killed Nymeria and Obara. Ellaria and Tyene are believed to be prisoners because we didn’t actually see them killed, and Euron took Yara prisoner after Theon jumped overboard instead of trying to save his sister. We believe Ellaria and Yara, especially will be used as a bargaining tool, but the plot summary sounds like Cersei may not be pleased with her gift.
Jaime learning from his mistakes sounds very intriguing, but I’m not sure what lessons he’ll learn. But my prediction entering the season was that he and Cersei were headed for a bitter split, a split that could see one or both losing their lives.
