When can you watch Game of Thrones season 7 on Amazon Video? You don’t have to wait too long after the season ends to watch the series, but it’s not available right now.

Game of Thrones season 7 premiered last night on HBO, and by all indications, was a huge success! Fans seem to be flocking to Amazon Video to buy the new episode of the series on Digital HD but have no luck finding the new episode when they get there.

Unfortunately, Game of Thrones is one of the few shows on TV that does not release the new episodes of the series on Amazon Video the day after the new episode airs on HBO. As you can see, it would kind of defeat the purpose of the subscription-based model if every episode was available to buy the day after it aired.

That doesn’t mean Game of Thrones season 7 episodes will not be available on Amazon Video eventually, though. It’s just going to take a while for those new episodes to be released on the streaming service, and then you will probably have to buy each individual episode for $3.99 or buy the whole season for about $30. We don’t have the exact figures from Amazon yet.

So, when will Game of Thrones season 7 be available on Amazon Video?

Based on previous seasons, Game of Thrones season 7 will likely be released on Amazon Video and other Digital HD platforms about a month and a half after the season 7 finale airs on August 27. That puts our projected release date for Game of Thrones season 7 on Amazon Video in October 2017.

For example, Game of Thrones season 6 finale aired on June 26, 2016, and the full season was added Amazon Video in August 2016. So, you’ll only have to wait a little over one month to buy the new episodes.

If you want the new season DVD and Blu-ray, however, you will have to wait even longer than for GoT season 7 to be released on DVD and Blu-ray.

At the time of publishing, Amazon is offering a sweet deal to add a HBO subscription to your Amazon account via Amazon Channels. Basically, all you have to do is pay $10.99 (for Prime members) or $14.99 (for non-Prime members), and you get access to HBO’s entire library through Amazon Channels.

That’s how many fans are watching the new season of Game of Thrones, and it will probably be a lot cheaper than buying each individual episode through Amazon Video.
