Amazon Prime Video is coming to the TV App and all Apple TVs this year.

Amazon has finally delivered the news that many Apple TV owners have waited to hear for a long time. The Amazon Prime Video app is finally coming to the TV app and to all Apple TVs this year. This is news that couldn’t have come a moment too soon. There is no exact date set for this rollout, but it would make sense for Amazon to have it shored up before they’re scheduled to stream live NFL games later this fall.

There will be 10 Thursday Night Football games streaming live on Amazon Prime Video this year after they won the rights from Twitter and a few other interested parties. Plus, Amazon Prime Video will be the home for season 2 of All or Nothing at the end of June. This season features the Los Angeles Rams and should make for an interesting and compelling watch. Last year was the first back in Los Angeles for the Rams after relocating from St. Louis, they had the No. 1 draft pick in quarterback Jared Goff, their head coach Jeff Fisher was fired in the middle of the season after a porous record and a public feud with Rams legend Eric Dickerson.

It’s not just the NFL and NFL-related programming that will be devoured now that Prime Video is going to be more accessible. There are great Amazon Originals like The Man in the High Castle, Transparent, Goliath, Mozart in the Jungle and Catastrophe. Plus, there are tons of other great programs like notable HBO shows, The Sopranos, The Wire, Entourage, Six Feet Under, Girls and Veep.
