It’s Monday so that means another all-new episode of Better Call Saul airs tonight on AMC. The third season of the show is off to a great start and really is two shows within one. One one hand, there is the ongoing feud between Jimmy and Chuck. Tonight’s episode “Chicanery” sees the Jimmy on trial for tampering with Chuck’s legal documents in the end of season 2 and he may not feel too confident, but Kim sure seems to have something up her sleeve based on the ending of episode 4.
The other half of the season has focused on Mike’s new working relationship with Gus Fring. The two worked closely together on Breaking Bad but viewers get to see the genesis of their relationship in Better Call Saul. With The Salamanca crew beginning to cause trouble for Gus, it’s Mike who is already looking like an instrumental force that will disrupt their drug trade.
Episode 5 is titled “Chicanery” and the official episode synopsis from TV Guide looks like it’ll be heavy on Jimmy, Chuck and Kim and not so much about Gus and Mike.
