 15. “Shape of You”

I am no longer in love with the “Shape of You.” Ten thousand times on the radio and the buzz has finally worn off.

I have seen all the Youtube dance videos, covers, and live performances that I need for one lifetime on this song alone. When it first released as a teaser for the album, we were all in love. It became the staple to our car rides, but now I find myself changing the station. Not the worst song, but definitely overplayed.

The Feels: Ed in the song gets drunk, meets a girl, and talks about her body. We love you Ed, but this is nothing new. Not a song to cry over, but one to hum along to and forget about later. Not to mention, the music video was very confusing.

The Lyrics: This is nothing new. This song is so similar to everything we have ever heard from Ed, but it is still a good song. The lyrics are just not up to par of this new album.

The Beat: Okay, catchy beat, but that is all it is.
