16. “Barcelona”

Yes, Ed, I have the same reaction. “Barcelona” is a lovable one, but I find myself hitting the skip button once I hear the first beat of the song.

“Barcelona” is a upbeat tune about dancing, falling in love, and lots of red wine, yet it is the least memorable one on the album. According to the scale here is how it matches up:

The Feels: While this song is very interesting, nothing about this song makes me want to grab my significant other and take a twirl on the dance floor. No tissues needed for this song, but it is good for background noise.

The Lyrics: Don’t get me wrong, this song has me singing Barcelona  over and over again in the car, but I don’t find myself quoting them at all.

The Beat: While the beat is uplifting, this is not my favorite one of the album. The others are a new take on the Ed Sheeran we all love, so it was a bit of a letdown.

So, Barcelona makes it way to the worst song of the album, but what follows?
