5. “Save Myself”

This song hits hard to me personally. Ed gives us a first look into a vulnerable side of him, which gives us slap in the face. Are we giving ourselves away to people won’t return it? Yes, Ed Sheeran did get that deep like he always does.

The Feels: We have walked this same road. Ed rips our heart out and reminds us to take care of ourselves first, then try to help. What seems like a personal piece gives the blame right back to Ed and helps him recognize who truly needs help.

The Lyrics: These lyrics are beautifully written and sang. Again, Ed gives a perfect representation of the empty feeling we all get after someone we gave everything to walks away. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

The Beat: The most soothing beat on the album. This song plays into the ripped apart feeling of being left behind. It makes me what to do a contemporary dance… if I knew how.
