In the days of peak romantic comedy, it seems that there was a film of every flavor. Films about magazine writers, films about chefs, films about competing lawyers. But a rom-com about gardening? Don’t think it’s too far-fetched. Helen Mirren and Clive Owen star in the quaint and delightful Greenfingers.

Colin (Clive Owen) completes his prison sentence with a little help from his green thumb. Once he’s introduced to the nice hobby of gardening, Colin revamps the prison’s garden, which catches the eye of gardening extraordinaire Georgina Woodhouse (Helen Mirren). Soon, Colin trades the calm he seeks for a competition against Georgina and a romance with her daughter.

Greenfingers might not be the most well-known romantic comedy, but like it’s left of center premise, that’s part of its charm. The British film banks an unbreakable cast and regales with a cute story about finding freedom and redemption in true love. Out of all the choices in Amazon Prime Video’s rom-com garden, be sure to pick Greenfingers!
